Frequently Asked Questions
We believe the best people to lead you through a country are the folk who live there. That’s why we employ passionate local tour leaders instead of importing foreign guides. Our tour leaders live in-country, speak the language fluently, and give you authentic access to their remarkable culture.
All of our tour leaders hold degrees in tourism, as well as relevant working with children documents. They are trained in first aid and work responsibly to make sure your school group stays healthy and safe at all times. They’re also fluent in English and their national language, which makes communicating simple.
Young student travellers have distinct needs, and our tour leaders are expertly trained to deal with them. Every leader has at least three years’ experience leading student groups and can teach a range of personalities. All have been chosen because of their ability to deal with the needs and unique issues associated with escorting young people through Asia.
Your tour leader is a teammate in travel and teaching. They can assist you with daily planning and organisation, brief you on in-country etiquette and monitor your group’s wellbeing. Working in partnership with you, they’ll share responsibility for accommodation, security and travel arrangements, and risk management.
Yes! We can provide multiple opportunities for you to demonstrate how your teaching fulfills professional standards (such as Australia’s AITSL Standards), as well as how you’ve developed specific areas of expertise (for instance, in the ‘Engagement with Asia’ area).
Generally, our trips follow a ratio of 1 adult to 10 students, but this is flexible and ultimately depends on your preference. Importantly, our school trips have no minimum group size. Our typical trip size is over 20 people, and our largest group so far had 160 people!
All hotels we use are of high quality, are well located and have been selected because of their suitability to accommodate young student travellers. Student accommodation is on a twin/triple share basis and teacher accommodation is on a single room basis.
Yes, we provide a comprehensive packing list for students, including clothing, toiletries, travel documentation, and stationery and learning resources.
Do you provide travel insurance, flights and visas?
Yes, we can provide travel insurance, arrange your flights and organise visas as required, as an additional trip cost.
Do you provide 24/7 support?
Absolutely. Our support staff and tour leaders know their countries intimately and are contactable at all times – 24 hours a day, 7 days a week – to help immediately if any issues arise.
